My name is  Wendy Hackles.  I live in the North East of England with my husband Carl, our 4 children and our first Grandchild who was born December 2007.

We have 7 cats, ( 1 domestic shorthair, 1 Domestic Longhair and  5  Norwegian Forests) and our dog,( a Rhodesian Ridgeback ). We have also had the occasional Guide Dog Puppy boarding with us.
I have always had pets, even as a child.   We already had a domestic shorthair, Willow, but we decided that we'd like a pedigree cat too.  After months of finding out information, ringing breeders and looking on the internet, we fell in love with the Maine Coon and the Norwegian Forest.   In 2004 we got our 1st ever pedigree cat.   We wanted to see what it would be like at a show with her.  We enjoyed it so much and were bitten by the  bug, as they say, that we decided we'd like more than one pedigree.
We decided  to concentrate on the beautiful Norwegian Forest Cat. After showing for 4 years, We had our first litter of  kittens in July 2007.
We breed as a hobby, and our Queens will only have one litter a year.
Our aim is to breed healthy, happy kittens with good temperament and to the Norwegian Forest breed standard.
Our cats are part of our family and do not go outside unless supervised in our back yard, which is netted all the way around to minimize anyone trying to escape and to stop other cats getting in.
We go to quite a few  shows, but sadly some are too far for us to attend.  We go as a family, for an enjoyable day out and  if our cats do well, that is a bonus for us. Our children can be seen helping at the shows and learning to take our cats to be judged.   We have made some very wonderful friends along the way too.
We are members  of "The Viking Cat Club" and "The Norwegian Forest Cat Club" We show at FIFe and TICA shows, which we really enjoy.
